Rising prices and negative contribution to GDP: how electricity shortages affect the economy

In the last days of July 2024, Ukrainians hardly suffer from power outages and the noise of generators near every retail outlet. But this is only a temporary relief. The Ukrainian economy will be feeling the effects of Russia's energy terror for years to come.
Viktor Shulyk, Director of the project management department of the IBI-Rating agency, has told The Page (pg) about the impact on the economy from the electricity shortage and the expected GDP losses.
