Foreign exchange market forecasts for the beginning of 2024

The threat of hryvnia devaluation is intensifying. On December 31, the cash exchange rate reached almost 39 UAH/USD. Despite the formal independence from the National Bank of Ukraine, the official exchange rate remained around 36 UAH/USD until the beginning of December. By the end of the year, the exchange rate reached the mark of 38 UAH/USD. In just one month, the devaluation reached about 4–5%.
