Investment passport of Kamyanets-Podilskyi city 2017

The start of the new business season was marked for Kamyanets-Podilskyi by updating the city's investment passport. It should be reminded that its first version was developed and presented a year ago. This year, the document was updated, in order to provide information about the investment opportunities of the city. The passport, compiled by analysts of the IBI-Rating agency, provides information for a potential investor about: natural and geographical characteristics; city management system; labor, industrial, tourist and recreational potentials; ecological state, support of investment projects, small and medium business, investment processes, land resources, construction, etc. Significantly, that passport includes ready-made investment projects, offered to investors for implementation.

Dmytro Zadesenets, Director of the municipal department of the IBI-Rating Agency, underlined: «Some of the competitive advantages of Kamyanets-Podilskyi can be attributed to the city's favorable transport location, the availability of highly skilled manpower with a relatively low level of payment, developed social infrastructure and infrastructure, the richest tourist and recreational potential. It should be noted that the special emphasis on the part of the city authorities is aimed at the development of small and medium-sized businesses. The network of health, education, culture and social protection institutions provides the population with the necessary social services. At the same time, the local government policy allows the city to support and annually increase the amount of expenditures aimed at the development of the territorial community. The amount of the capital expenditures for the past three years increased by 3.2 time and in 2016 reached UAH 56.3 million».

However, the confirmation of the attractiveness of Kamyanets-Podilskyi as a comfortable city for conducting business is the previously rated by the Agency Investment appeal at the invBBB grade (Sufficient investment attractiveness).

According to the words off the Director of the economy department of Kamyanets-Podilskyi City Council, Maya Gurskaya: «The priority directions of economic development of the city are our traditional engineering, food and light industry, as well as tourism and recreation. The city authorities of Kamyanets-Podilskyi is interested in attracting investors, is always ready to accept and consider any proposals for cooperation and will provide favorable conditions for investment activities. Our task is to create and improve the positive conditions for business development in the city».

The investment passport has been developed in two languages: Ukrainian and English, and is focused on attracting both domestic and foreign investments.
