IBI-Rating and the Corporate Governance Professional Association have signed a Memorandum of Cooperation
07.08.2015On Tuesday, 4, August, IBI Rating, the national authorized rating agency and the public organization ‘Corporate Governance Professional Association’ signed a Memorandum of cooperation, which aims to promote the development of corporate governance of domestic companies.
The purpose of the association is uniting corporate governance professionals to promote and improve corporate governance in Ukraine, implementation of internationally accepted standards of corporate governance, improving ethics in corporate relations, the role and authority of the corporate governance professionals, as well as satisfaction and protection of rights and legitimate interests of its' members.
The purpose of this document is to consolidate efforts aimed at introducing measures to enhance the quality of corporate governance, promoting the implementation of the best corporate governance practices taking into account the requirements of the Ukrainian legislation, as well as the mechanisms for evaluating the corporate governance level of the domestic business with the view of increasing its attractiveness, transparency and openness.
The main direction of the joint activities is the development and implementation of methodical and methodological approaches of introducing the best practices of corporate governance, as well as joint research and preparation of analytical conclusions with recommendations to enhance the level of corporate governance, which will contribute to improving the investment attractiveness of Ukrainian companies and the economy in Ukraine, in general.
