IBI-Rating has reviewed outlooks of the credit ratings of «SBERBANK» JSC and «BM BANK» JSC

17.03.2017
Rating agency IBI-Rating informs on placing of long-term credit ratings of «SBERBANK» JSC and «BM BANK» JSC on the Credit Watch List with a «negative» outlook. However, the credit ratings are kept at the current grade.

Placing of the ratings on the Credit Watch List with a change in the outlook is due to implementing of the Decision of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine dated 15 March 2017 «On the application of special economic and other restrictive measures (sanctions) of personal nature » with regard to the Ukrainian banks with the Russian state capital. In this respect, the Agency does not exclude that complication of transactions between these banks and their related parties (including the timely repayment of interbank loans to parent structures) can affect their creditworthiness.

At the same time, according to the operational reporting, these banks have sufficient financial resources to meet their financial obligations to the residents, as well as customer payment orders.

Taking into account adequate liquidity and capitalization ratios of these banks, as well as the structure of their assets and resource base, the Agency evaluates risks for domestic depositors of these banks as moderate.

The Rating agency continues to closely monitor the developments around the banking institutions with the Russian state capital in connection with the above-mentioned events, as well as actions of the regulatory authorities.
