Oranta

National Joint Stock Insurance Company (NAIC) "Orans" is the successor Ukrderzhstrakh (excluding liabilities under long-term insurance contracts of former state monopolies), founded November 25, 1921. This date company considers its founding date. In 1993 Ukrderzhstrah was transformed into a joint stock company National joint stock insurance company "Oranta", the founder of which, by the state, made the State Property Fund of Ukraine. In 2007, the State Property Fund of Ukraine sold last investor interest, which was state-owned.

The company became privately owned, which contributed to the further improvement of the structure of assets "Oranta" and increase its solvency. From 1994 "Oranta" is a member of MTIBU, and since 2003 - a member of the Nuclear Insurance Pool. In September 2008, based Ukrainian Insurance Federation (UIF), which brings together 14 classic insurance companies in order to promote development in Ukraine transparent classical insurance, guaranteeing a high level of insurance services provided by the members of the federation, integration of Ukrainian and European insurance markets, protecting the interests of the federation, preventing unfair activities of its members. "Oranta" was one of the founders of the federation and is an active member.

In December 2008 the company signed the Global Compact of the United Nations and declared its commitment to socially responsible business. "Oranta" cooperates with Ukrainian and international professional organizations in the field of CSR, participating in committees and working groups of the American Chamber of Commerce and the European Business Association. Despite the difficult economic situation on the financial market and the insurance sector in particular, "Oranta" has maintained a leadership position, confirming many public awards and titles which the Company was awarded in 2010.
