Oleksandr Kalashnikov commented the situation with the privatization of Ukrainian state-owned banks
The government approved the State Bank Development Strategy last winter. One of the goals set in the document is to halve the state share in the banking sector from the current 55% to 24% in 2022. For each state bank a detailed strategy was developed, goals and deadlines were set. According to the plan, the state must first sell a stake in Ukrgasbank and Oschadbank. At the same time, Ukreximbank will remain in state ownership completely. Mr. Oleksandr Kalashnikov, director of the financial department of the IBI-Rating agency, commented the situation in the banking market.
